Host: Kaņepes Kultūras Centrs (KKC)
Founded in 1201, Riga is the capital city of Latvia, located in the heart of the Baltics.
Riga stretches along the Daugava River and welcomes visitors with an Old Town listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site.
Often dubbed an architectural jewel, the city brings together its earliest riverside churches, medieval guild buildings, some of Europe’s most distinctive Art Nouveau façades, centuries-old wooden houses, and bold pieces of modern architecture -all within an easy walk of each other.
Nestled in a restored 1886 wooden schoolhouse in central Riga, Kaņepes Kultūras centrs (KKC) has been a grassroots cultural hub since 2011. We bring together local and international artists, activists, and curious audiences for concerts, films, talks, and late-night debates - all under one roof.
True to our “bottom-up” spirit, we champion freedom of expression, give emerging creators room to experiment, and keep our doors open to anyone looking for fresh ideas, good music, or just a coffee and conversation.
